Diverting Lives of At-Risk Youth Before They Divert Yours
Teenagers are destined to be tomorrow’s parents, teachers, and leaders. However, lacking positive adult guidance, misdirected teenagers can negatively impact the lives of each and every one of us, both socially and financially. S.T.A.R.S. International applies multi-faceted mentoring and coaching to fill the void resulting from struggling parents. Participants nominated for the program are either those “at-risk” of being influenced by negative ambitions or those who have “proven” themselves to lack the self control necessary to avoid legal consequences for their actions.
The S.T.A.R.S. International program literally dives deep to divert lives of at-risk youth using scuba certification as a reward for youth achieving positive changes in their lives. This unique program is targeted to benefit teenagers during pivotal maturing years when positive influence can best strengthen and mold personal character. The program and staff serve as a catalyst, fostering family, school, and community collaboration to strategically introduce participants to new and long-term educational and career opportunities.
